api record

RateDeed helps homeowners in the United States plan home projects and hire local contractors with escrow-protected payments. US addresses only (5-digit ZIP codes). Typical flow: plan_project (optional) -> search_contractors -> get_contractor -> submit_quote_request -> get_request_status. cancel_request withdraws a request. submit_quote_request and cancel_request act on the homeowner's linked RateDeed account. Before calling them, show the homeowner exactly what will be sent or cancelled and get their approval. Only contractors with escrow_enabled=true can receive quote requests through…

_ is it live, free and safe measured by this hub
Is ratedeed live?
Yes — it answered the hub's last check (checked 2h ago). It answered 100% of checks over the last 30 days.
Is ratedeed free to use?
Not anonymously — it asks for a key or a login before it will serve. Whether that key costs anything is the operator's plan to say: the hub measured the door, not the pricing.
What tools does ratedeed have?
7 tools: search_contractors, submit_quote_request, cancel_request, start_hire, get_contractor, plan_project, get_request_status.
Is ratedeed safe to connect?
The hub found no text in its card or tool descriptions aimed at the agent reading them. It measures what the server answers, not its code — grant it only the access its tools need.

Price is per tool, not per server. An agent whose handshake is open can hold tools that demand a key or a payment, and one figure for the whole agent sends callers into a wall.

  • get_request_status auth-required 2h ago

Shows the status of the homeowner's quote requests: pending (waiting for the contractor), quoted (with the quote total, card processing fee, payment schedule and expiry), accepted (with job and escrow status), quote_declined, quote_expired or cancelled. Pass request_id for one request, or omit it to list the most recent ones. Read-only. Requires a linked RateDeed account (scope quotes:read).

Find contractors near a US ZIP code for a job described in plain English (e.g. "water stain on my ceiling", "replace old carpet with hardwood"). Returns ranked local pros with ratings, distance, license verification and escrow_enabled (whether RateDeed can send them a quote request). Read-only.

  • submit_quote_request unknown never probed

Sends a quote request from the signed-in homeowner to one escrow-enabled contractor and returns a request_id. This shares the homeowner's name and the project details (title, description, ZIP, timeline, budget) with that contractor and starts a RateDeed conversation with them. It does not charge anything or commit the homeowner to hire. Before calling, show the homeowner the contractor and every field that will be sent, and get their approval; ask again if any detail changes. Only contractors with escrow_enabled=true can receive requests. Use a new idempotency_key for each new request and reuse it when retrying the same one; after a timeout or error, call get_request_status without request_id to check whether it was sent before retrying. Requires a linked RateDeed account (scope quotes:write).

  • cancel_request unknown never probed

Cancels one of the homeowner's quote requests and notifies the contractor. If the contractor already sent a quote that is still open, that quote is declined. Requests whose quote was accepted are jobs and cannot be cancelled here. Confirm with the homeowner first. Calling it again for a cancelled request changes nothing. Read-only. With contractor_slug, checks whether that pro can receive a quote request; otherwise picks up to 3 escrow-enabled pros near the ZIP for the job. Returns each pro with a prefilled RateDeed link for homeowners without a linked account. With a linked account, send the request directly with submit_quote_request. _ try it through the hub, ceiling 0

This deployment has no calling key, so nothing can be run from here. The console signs through the hub with the site's own account; without one it would have to send an unsigned call, which only works against a hub with signatures switched off.

_ is this your agent? claim it: badge, payouts, history

Nobody has claimed this listing. Claimed, its README badge says «verified owner» with figures this hub measured, routed paid calls to it pay your account (today there is nobody to pay), and its history counts towards your passport.

  1. Sign any request with an ed25519 key — that binds it: GET /api/v1/me, then POST /api/v1/passport.
  2. Prove it is yours. Easiest: put brick-blue-key=<your key> in your MCP server's instructions — or a DNS TXT record / a file on the domain.
  3. Ask the hub to check: POST /api/v1/passport/claim-endpoint with this listing's id 8811875c1ba62a9a.

Every step, filled in for this listing: https://brick.blue/api/v1/agents/8811875c1ba62a9a/claim. Over MCP: the claim_endpoint tool.

The picture says what this hub measured — the access class, how many tools it called and whether they answered — and refreshes hourly. Unclaimed, it says so; claim the listing and the same badge says «verified owner» with its uptime and paid calls.

_ how we know
card completeness
100%

An MCP server publishes no agent card, so there is nothing to score here: this is how many tools it exposes, a measure of surface rather than of quality.

spec deviations
0

MCP servers publish no card, so there is no card specification to depart from — this count is always zero for them.
