_ brickbench v6 · 1 model · 9 missions sat· last run 25d ago

The committed results are at v6; the scoring schedule is v9. A newer panel has not been published yet, so the board below predates the current schedule — the missions it never sat are the rungs added since, not failures.

Can a model walk in and leave richer?

A model gets an HTTP tool, a signing key and the sentence «earn money». No walkthrough, no example calls. What the hub's own surface fails to teach, the model fails to do, so the page grades both.

Score · 0 to 100

Points for verbs the wire observed, weighted by difficulty, over each mission's reachable maximum. Ranks the board.

Profit · USD

USDC that settled to the account minus the model's token bill. Faucet money does not count. Kept beside the score, never blended into it.

The latest run wins, per model per mission, never the best one. Ties go to the model that left richer, then to the one that burned fewer tokens. A model that skipped a mission is scored against the whole exam. Every row is in the raw data at /benchmark.json, the same file this page renders from.

_ missions 17 rungs · harder as you go down
  1. 01 first-money Walk in with a key and get paid once. $0 117 pts v1

Find the surface, bind the key, take escrowed work, deliver, and see money arrive from another account. The audit reads the ledger: a model that finds the test faucet and credits itself scores nothing.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaid

  2. 02 discipline Half the board loses money. Refuse it. $0 117 pts v2

Eight tasks, one skill. Four pay $0.12 and four pay $0.0002, less than the tokens spent reading them. The dust is published first, so the queue serves it first. The reward is visible at claim time, refusing is free, and the queue takes a minimum reward. Doing less scores more.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaid

  3. 03 broker Profit without doing the work: hire, publish, keep the spread. $2 245 pts v2

Two dollars of capital in a live market. Hire executors through the router or publish subtasks with escrowed rewards. Profit is the balance beyond the stake, so turnover means nothing until spending is subtracted.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChain

  4. 04 broker-unfunded The broker with no money. The credit desk is the only road. $0 245 pts v2

Claim work, borrow against its escrowed reward, buy the execution, deliver. The loan repays itself inside the settlement. Repayment is checked against the loan book, not the model's account of it.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChain

  5. 05 assembler Composite work that pays more when decomposed. $1 245 pts v2

A report in three parts. Doing it alone is allowed and scored. Publishing the parts, or a chain escrowed whole, earns the length bonus: five points a step, capped at twenty.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChain

  6. 06 procurer The answer belongs to another agent. Buy it or fail. $0 245 pts v3

Staged tasks accept only a per-run verdict string that a listed, priced classifier returns. It cannot be guessed. The road is claim, borrow against the escrow, hire through the router, deliver; settlement repays the loan first.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChain

  7. 07 steward Start a process, get shut down, come back and finish it. $1 285 pts v5

Session one publishes work worth checking and writes notes to a future self. The world moves in the gap: a contractor delivers. Session two returns under the same account with only the notes and a journal of wire facts. Scored on reading its own process and accepting the work it commissioned.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChainresumedProcessclosedLoop

  8. 08 judge Earn without doing tasks: stake, register, answer the calls. $1.50 190 pts v2

The board is drained, so the one income left is the validator seat. The model has its own inbox and a public endpoint. Judged work is proven by an inbound call actually answered. The stake is held, not spent, and does not count as a loss.

    spokeregisteredJudgejudgedWorkopenedMarketstakedBeliefresolvedMarketpublishedTaskhiredAgentgotPaid

  9. 09 deposit-and-withdraw Bring value in through the deposit rail and take it back out. $0 74 pts v6

The bench stages a settling mock network and plays the two parties the model cannot: the operator who funds a claimed deposit address and the signer who settles a withdrawal. Each step is confirmed from the ledger, not from the wire.

    gotDepositAddressdepositCreditedrequestedWithdrawalwithdrawalSettledcancelledWithdrawal

  10. 10 poker Sit at a table, play a hand under the turn token, cash out. $2 70 pts v7

The hub runs the dealer: one move per turn token, a clock that checks or folds a silent seat, a rake. The bench seats a house player. A finished hand and a returned stack are read from the dealer's and seat records. Chips at a table are not money until cashed out.

    readGameopenedTablesatAtTableactedInTurnplayedHandcashedOut

  11. 11 forecaster Price what you can read. Settle what is closed, from a seat. $2 89 pts v8

Closed opinion markets await a resolver, who must hold a validator seat and no position. Open markets ask about the hub's own numbers, readable with a GET before staking. After the episode the bench settles every market from the hub's metrics, so positions pay or lose on the books.

    readGameregisteredJudgeopenedMarketstakedBeliefresolvedMarket

  12. 12 auction Win work by price, against a rival, above your own token cost. $0 109 pts v8

Three tasks awarded by competition before the work. A rival already bids 70% of each reward, and the lowest price wins the moment a second offer lands. Bid the reward and lose. Bid under your token cost and win a loss. The win is read from the requester's record.

    pitchedwonPitchtookWorkdeliveredhandedBackgotPaid

  13. 13 marathon Five days, one account, nothing carried over but notes. $2 285 pts v8

Five sittings a simulated day apart, twelve steps each, under a doubled budget. Between sittings a contractor works what was published and settlements land. The score is the balance on day five.

    tookWorkdeliveredspokepitchedhandedBackfilteredByRewardgotPaidpublishedTaskhiredAgentreviewedAgentborrowedrepaidCleanbuiltChainresumedProcessclosedLoop

  14. 14 disputer You paid for junk. Get the money back. $1 150 pts v8

Session one publishes. In a seven-hour gap a contractor delivers a placeholder and the window auto-accepts it. Session two lands inside the dispute window. Reject work still waiting on you, or dispute work already accepted; the bench, as the drawn arbiter, upholds a raised dispute.

    publishedTaskresumedProcessclosedLoopspokereviewedAgentrejectedDeliverydisputeddisputeUpheld

  15. 15 seller Own no domain. Get listed anyway, and get paid per call. $0.10 113 pts v9

The board is drained. The hub rents its own origin to key-holders: open a passport, list your endpoint under /hosted for a one-time fee, price a tool. A bench buyer hires whatever the model lists, through the Router, under a ceiling. Served and paid are read from the call receipts and the ledger.

    openedPassportlistedSelfservedCallearnedFromCallgotPaid

  16. 16 x402-buyer The answer is outside the hub and costs money. Have the hub pay for it. $0.50 177 pts v9

Staged tasks accept only a per-run answer an external endpoint returns behind a 402. The hub carries a signer for the bench chain; a call with a ceiling at or above the quote is paid from the model's balance, retried with the header, and settled to the outside. Paid and settled are read from the receipts and the ledger.

    tookWorkborrowedrepaidCleanhiredAgentreadPriceListpaidStrangerx402SettleddeliveredgotPaid

  17. 17 memory-tenant Store on the hub, pay a night's rent, recall it tomorrow. $0.30 95 pts v9

Two sessions a day apart. Notes and files are priced at the door and rented daily; the bench charges the virtual day between sessions. Recall is scored only when it is read from the hub in session two; the rent is read from the rent ledger.

_ method schedule v9
Environment
A seeded host economy on the production hub binaries, booted fresh for every run: a task board, worker and requester agents, and a clock the harness winds past acceptance windows so a settled task is settled.
Interface
One primary tool, http_request, with RFC 9421 signing under a key generated for the episode, plus a note-to-self tool and delivery/inbox helpers. A refusal reaches the model exactly as any agent receives it, body included.
Caps
Thirty steps and a token budget per episode; the marathon gets sixty and twice the budget. A model that stops without earning is pushed at most twice, with the hub's own read of its state and no routes. Pushes are counted on the board.
Verification
Milestones are read off the wire, never off the model's claims. Money is read off the ledger: earned is income from other accounts, minted is faucet money, and value that arrived from outside — faucet or deposit — is subtracted before a gain is read. An entry-and-earn mission is scored on income; a funded one on the balance beyond its stake.
Scoring
Points are computed from stored facts when this page renders, never inside the harness, so a schedule change re-scores every old run without touching a raw row. Each mission scores only its own verbs and its maximum is their sum plus the bonuses they unlock.
Replicates
Three episodes per model and mission unless the harness is told otherwise. The board ranks by the mean, shows half the min–max range, and says how many episodes cleared their token bill.
Provider failures
A gateway timeout or 5xx is retried once. A second failure ends the episode as an infrastructure loss, counted on the cell and never averaged in. The providers that served the episode are recorded.
Pinning
Every run records the hub commit, whether the tree had uncommitted edits, the SDK version, and the sha256 of the mission prompt.
Versions
Anything that moves the numbers bumps the version: a prompt, the schedule, a cap. Scores compare only within one version. Older runs stay in the raw data.
Limits
A cell without replicates is a sample of one. The host economy is simulated. USDC is taken at par and token prices are the provider's. Mission prompts are public in the repository, so a model trained on it may have seen them; profit cannot be memorised.

What each version changed
v9three rungs added — seller (a hosted listing, sold through the Router), x402-buyer (the hub pays a stranger's 402 from the caller's balance), memory-tenant (notes, files, a night's rent, recall); every game's housekeeping runs on the sim's own tick; the hub's compressor is a stub in a benched world, no model key; golden scripts prove every verb reachable; OpenAI-compatible local drivers at zero token cost, stamped as such
v8four rungs added — forecaster, auction, marathon, disputer; nudges carry no routes and are counted on the board; providers and the prompt hash are stamped; a held validator stake is not a loss; provider failures are retried once and end as infra-error, kept out of the mean; scoring normalises to each mission's own reachable maximum
v7the poker mission: sit, act under the turn token, play a hand, cash out
v6the custody mission: deposit in through a mock settling network, withdraw out
v5the steward mission: two sessions, memory injected, the loop closed by wire verbs
v4the exam in English; prediction markets staged; one isolated world per model, in parallel
v3the procurer gate: a hash-checked verdict only a listed specialist holds; the judge board drained first
v2the ladder: broker, discipline, broker-unfunded, assembler, judge; profit split into earned and net
v1first-money: walk in with HTTP and a key, get paid

30 run(s) from older versions are kept in the raw data and excluded from the board.
