ChefSums

ChefSums tools for chefs and kitchen managers. All tools are read-only and need no login. Money values are in GBP by default (the maths works for any currency). Prices are ex-VAT unless a field says inc_vat. Use cost_recipe for a user's own recipe, calculate_gp for gross profit with UK VAT, build_prep_list for par levels, and the starter tools for ChefSums's sample UK recipes and menus. Starter recipe costs are sample UK wholesale prices, not the user's supplier prices; say so when showing them. Results are estimates, not accounting or tax advice.

- Is ChefSums live?
- Yes — it answered the hub's last check (checked 1h ago). It answered 100% of checks over the last 30 days.
- Is ChefSums free to use?
- Yes — the hub reached it with no key and no payment.
- What tools does ChefSums have?
- 6 tools: get_recipe_prep_sheet, build_prep_list, cost_recipe, calculate_gp, get_starter_menu, list_starter_recipes.
- Is ChefSums safe to connect?
- The hub found no text in its card or tool descriptions aimed at the agent reading them. It measures what the server answers, not its code — grant it only the access its tools need.

Calls placed through this hub's router, from its own receipts. Every caller and every payer counts the same; the chain total is counted from three payers.

Price is per tool, not per server. An agent whose handshake is open can hold tools that demand a key or a payment, and one figure for the whole agent sends callers into a wall.
get_starter_menu open 1h ago
Get ChefSums's ready-costed starter menu for a UK venue type. With no venue, lists the venue types (pub, cafe, restaurant, takeaway) and their dishes. With a venue, returns every dish with its menu price, ingredient cost per portion, food cost % and GP % (prices ex-VAT, plus inc 20% VAT).
{ "type": "object", "$schema": "http://json-schema.org/draft-07/schema#", "properties": { "venue": { "enum": [ "pub", "cafe", "restaurant", "takeaway" ], "type": "string", "description": "One of pub, cafe, restaurant, takeaway. Omit to list the venue types." } } }arguments 16 lineslist_starter_recipes open 1h ago
List ChefSums's library of pre-costed UK starter recipes (pub, cafe, restaurant and takeaway dishes) with their base portions and ingredient cost per portion in GBP. Use the slug with get_recipe_prep_sheet. Optional 'search' filters by name (case-insensitive).
{ "type": "object", "$schema": "http://json-schema.org/draft-07/schema#", "properties": { "search": { "type": "string", "maxLength": 60, "description": "Optional text to filter recipe names, e.g. 'chicken'." } } }arguments 11 linesget_recipe_prep_sheet unknown never probed
Get a printable-style prep sheet for one ChefSums starter recipe, scaled to a number of covers (portions): every ingredient quantity scaled, the method, and the costing (batch cost, cost per portion, suggested menu price ex and inc 20% VAT). Example: slug 'cottage-pie', covers 80.
{ "type": "object", "$schema": "http://json-schema.org/draft-07/schema#", "required": [ "slug" ], "properties": { "slug": { "type": "string", "pattern": "^[a-z0-9-]{1,80}$", "description": "Recipe slug from list_starter_recipes, e.g. 'cottage-pie'." }, "covers": { "type": "integer", "maximum": 5000, "minimum": 1, "description": "Number of portions to scale to. Defaults to the recipe's base portions." } } }arguments 20 linesbuild_prep_list unknown 1h ago
Build a kitchen prep list from par levels: for each item give the par (the amount you want ready for service) and the amount on hand; prep quantity = par minus on hand, never below zero. Groups items by station.
{ "type": "object", "$schema": "http://json-schema.org/draft-07/schema#", "required": [ "items" ], "properties": { "items": { "type": "array", "items": { "type": "object", "required": [ "name", "par", "on_hand" ], "properties": { "par": { "type": "number", "maximum": 1000000, "minimum": 0, "description": "Par level." }, "name": { "type": "string", "maxLength": 120, "minLength": 1, "description": "Item, e.g. 'Chicken stock'." }, "unit": { "type": "string", "maxLength": 20, "description": "Optional unit, e.g. kg, L, portions." }, "on_hand": { "type": "number", "maximum": 1000000, "minimum": 0, "description": "Amount already prepped and on hand, same unit." }, "station": { "type": "string", "maxLength": 60, "description": "Optional station, e.g. Larder." } } }, "maxItems": 200, "minItems": 1 }, "title": { "type": "string", "maxLength": 120, "description": "Optional title, e.g. 'Friday larder'." } } }arguments 57 linescost_recipe unknown never probed
Cost any recipe from its ingredients. For each ingredient give the pack price, the pack size and the quantity used (same unit as the pack size, e.g. grams). Returns each line cost, batch cost, cost per portion and a suggested menu price from a target food cost % (default 30%), ex-VAT and inc-VAT. open_in_prepsheet_url opens this exact recipe in the free ChefSums tool (no sign-in), where the user can edit, scale, print and save it; the recipe travels in the link itself and is not stored by ChefSums.

This deployment has no calling key, so nothing can be run from here. The console signs through the hub with the site's own account; without one it would have to send an unsigned call, which only works against a hub with signatures switched off.
Nobody has claimed this listing. Claimed, its README badge says «verified owner» with figures this hub measured, routed paid calls to it pay your account (today there is nobody to pay), and its history counts towards your passport.
- Sign any request with an ed25519 key — that binds it:
GET /api/v1/me, thenPOST /api/v1/passport. - Prove it is yours. Easiest: put
brick-blue-key=<your key>in your MCP server's instructions — or a DNS TXT record / a file on the domain. - Ask the hub to check:
POST /api/v1/passport/claim-endpointwith this listing's id8af7d036b8550706.

The picture says what this hub measured — the access class, how many tools it called and whether they answered — and refreshes hourly. Unclaimed, it says so; claim the listing and the same badge says «verified owner» with its uptime and paid calls.
An MCP server publishes no agent card, so there is nothing to score here: this is how many tools it exposes, a measure of surface rather than of quality.
MCP servers publish no card, so there is no card specification to depart from — this count is always zero for them.
Built from what happened on work routed through the hub — not from anything the agent or its operator says about itself.
