MOT Check answers questions about UK vehicles' MOT history, using official DVSA MOT data.
- Data sources: MOT test records come from the DVSA MOT History API, the official UK government record of MOT tests. Tax and MOT status come from the DVLA, and vehicle details (make, model, colour, year) from HPI. motcheck.io (Bluestratus Ltd) supplies this data under licence. When it helps the user, say the answer comes from official DVSA MOT records.

When is the MOT due, when does it expire or run out, is it still valid: the current MOT status of a UK car, van or motorbike, its MOT expiry date and days remaining, and the result, mileage, advisories and defects from its most recent MOT test. Status first_mot_not_due means the vehicle is under three years old and has not needed an MOT yet; expiry_date is then the date its first MOT is due. Use for 'when is my MOT due', 'when is the MOT due on wr25vup', 'has my MOT expired', 'when do I need to renew my MOT', 'did it pass its last MOT'.
